The location was great for walking around a cathedral church. A market and department shops were right next door. The room was reasonably spacious and there were facilities, including a separate lounge, an iron and ironing board, and a dressing table.

Enjoyable breakfast with plenty of options. Lovely dishes. - Very central location to the theater. - Excellent gins and wines in the downstairs bar. - Excellent stay, as always.

It was functional, brand-new and with view. Magnificent and fab location, we were close enough to theatres, restaurants, shopping and public transport and restaurants.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and patient. The location was incredible, close to AAMI Park. I would come back to stay again.

Amazing location, a few steps away from Treasury Gardens. Lovely building and well-appointed and brand-new rooms with comfy beds.

Internet did not work in my room and they couldn’t fix it! They rang me every day to ask when they could clean my room! Both annoying!!!

The rooms are always brand-new and a decent size. The location is very central. The staff team, from the doorman to the valet, is outstandingly friendly and extremely polite.

We love old buildings and the heritage they generate. This hotel has so much character even if the floor boards creak.

As a retired hotelier I feel qualified to comment. The Cricketers Bar badly needs to remove an offensive odor as you enter from the internal door. It smells of mouldy beer. We watched patrons "pull faces" as they entered the room and their first smell.

Its a great central location to the centre of Melbourne

The room had a walk-in shower, the breakfast had a delicious selection of pub food, and there were plenty of options including toast.

The anbiance and atmosphere. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Conveniently located old-school hotel that offers great value for money. Our stay here was fantastic. The place is perfectly situated, just a short stroll from Chinatown. 🌟

Staff were incredible!. Walked past this place for years, but never really gave it a thought. Beautiful victorian facade, comfy, classy.. In fact booking anther 2 nights for our return trip.
